FIA's Headquarters


The Place de la Concorde is one of the largest public spaces in Paris, measuring 7.6 hectares. In the square you can find:


-The fountain of flowers: set in 1840

-The source of the seas and trade: laid in 1840

-The obelisk of luxor: put in 1998, which Egypt gave to France, the obelisk belongs to the reign of Ramses II

-The Hotel: 2 identical buildings


The Hotel was made by Louis-Francois Trourad, by order of King Louis XV in 1758 was finished. The facade was designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, in 1755.

In 1907 it was renovated and controlled by the Taittinger family but because of the tax the family ceded the hotel to the American company Star Wood Capital in 2005. Since then it has been known as the Place de la Concorde and is not only a hotel, it also houses different companies such as the FIA, International Automobile Federation, which is located at number 8. It is 37 meters long and 12 meters wide.

And since last year they added to their entrance an impressive collection of helmets and pilot suits to screen everyone when entering.
