KLM and MIKEL ALONSO

For a unique passenger service experience, Mikel and KLM come together in a special collaboration for all those who fly from Mexico City to Amsterdam, with the intention of making them feel at home and enjoy the flight without worries.

Mikel Alonso, a Basque chef with more than 10 years of pastry experience, owns the Biko and Koma restaurants. Awarded as the best chefs in Mexico City.

As a flight menu you can enjoy:

-Crab gratin with termidor sauce, mature cheese cream and fried artichokes.

-Low temperature chicken breast with walnut crust, rajas cream, sautéed mushrooms and roasted sweet potato.

-Vegetable lasagna, carrot and fennel puree, sautéed tomato with jicama and hummus.

- Escalivada of vegetables over sautéed lentils with broccoli and potato and walnut fritters.

While in the dessert area we find:

-Almond cake with yellow lemon zest

- Dark chocolate brownie with crunchy hazelnut.


It is impressive to do the work that took because it took more than 5 months. We were at the press conference where we learned much more about the airline, the team that makes this collaboration possible with the Director of KLM Mexico Wouter Alders and his team and of course Mikel Alonso.

Mikel and KLM join a special collaboration for all those who fly from Mexico City to Amsterdam, with the intention of making them feel at home and enjoy the flight without suspicion.

We tried some of the dishes and we can definitely recommend this collaboration, everyone who has the opportunity to travel KLM will give a fantastic passenger service and they will love the delicious dishes of Chef Mikel Alonso, especially the chicken breast and the Chocolate Brownie, you’ll want to take it all home and enjoy it every day. ❙❘
