It was in 2017 that Mercedes’ entry into the ABB Formula E championship was announced, with high expectations and the desire to see the team enter and grow. During its first year 2018-2019 it was raced under the name of HWA and used Venturi powertrains.

For the 2019-2020 season the name change was made and a great start for Stoffel Vandoorne and Nyck de Vries achieving a 3rd place in the constructors’ championship.

Next season 2022-2023 the team and the entire team will change to be McLaren and although we will be able to continue to see everyone grow, Mercedes-EQ Formula E will be remembered as a great team.
